Our own interpretation of society’s way has made us set limitations on ourselves.
I think it stems from my personal belief system and ideological mind frame of what I created for myself on who I am and what is my role in society. The basis for this understanding was made by my own traditional beliefs, family, but also the delusional fantasy that I created for myself and lived by. I’ve created a narrow minded approach to how I live my life in all aspects of it. Again it was based upon what I thought was right in social norm. What I did not realize was that there really is no social norm just the law and rules we live bye. By creating boundaries for myself I have narrowed the playing field, limited my options and courses of actions that rightfully could have been taken.
My life has been like a game of snakes and ladders following a steady slow course from one side of the board to the other and occasionally being forced to move up a ladder. Luckily I’ve made it this far safely, even though I’ve had my fair share of self inflicted set backs or wounds. Lately I have been making the choice to change the game. Let’s take Chess for example you can move forwards, backward, sideways and diagonally. I think it would be more appropriate to play this game and to move forward. Yes, you can move sideways and play it safe until forced to move up or be killed, I now would rather move forward and take my chances. Set goals and use what I have to achieve them. Stop limiting myself with my own tunnel vision. Break down these self enforced barriers or obstacles that I put for myself and Live free.
